A burden to share? Addressing unequal climate impacts in the Least Developed Countries
This briefing paper looks at the increasing impact of climate-related disasters on Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and the funding needed for climate change adaptation project in these countries. It asserts that international pledges of climate finance to address this inequality are overall both inadequate and unmet, and calls for the burden of responding to climate change to fall on those most responsible for causing the problem, and most capable of addressing it.
