Cabo Verde emergency preparedness and response diagnostic: Building a culture of preparedness

The present diagnostic is to be considered as a continuation of past efforts aimed at strengthening Emergency Preparedness and Response (EP&R) capacities in Cabo Verde. Its aim is Improving resilience mechanisms at the national, sub-national and city levels, safeguarding development gains by informing investment decision-making in the field of EP&R system based on quantitative data. The diagnostic was established to be an objective, data-driven foundation to engage country counterparts on emergency preparedness and response development projects. The methodology builds on five core components of emergency preparedness and response and provides recommendations on:

2. Information (pp. 81-82);
3. Facilities (pp. 82-83);
4. Equipment (p. 83);
5. Personnel (p. 84).
