This document describes capacity building efforts to implement a Chemical Accident Prevention and Preparedness Programme for Tanzania (CAPP-TZ) based on the Flexible Framework Programme for CAPP developed by UNEP. The National Inception Workshop of the CAPP-TZ project was held in Dar es Salaam on 31 July and 1 August 2013.

The document outlines inception workshop presentations and discussions, key findings surrounding legal and organisational foundations for chemical hazard prevention and remaining gaps, and further steps for the CAPP-TZ project.
