This document presents the conclusions and recommendations decided at the Regional Seminar on "Cooperation between governments and the private sector for disaster risk reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean: Focus, progress and challenges". The exchanges of views and debates on cooperation between governments and the private sector for disaster risk reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean highlighted several aspects, including: participants recognized the need to make further progress towards perfecting a comprehensive, prospective, well-coordinated and sustainable approach to disaster risk reduction Latin America and the Caribbean countries.
