Conference proceedings: 5th National conference community based disaster risk reduction

Theme: the roles of community based approach for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation in Indonesia.

This document presents the proceedings of the conference, which central topic is on the relevancy of the CBDRR as strategic tools for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation. In the fourth CBDRR Symposium/Conference, the actors focused on the challenges and opportunities of the institutionalization of CBDRR in Indonesia – with only one workshop on climate change adaptation. The arrival at the CBDRR and climate change adaptation is of course both direct and indirect processes at local and international level that currently being discussed prior to the Conference of Parties 15th Meetings of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Copenhagen, December 2009.
