Cred crunch, Issue no. 51, July 2018 - Earthquakes in Europe
This edition of Cred Crunch provides an overview of earthquakes on the European continent between 2000 and 2017, providing data on economic damages, mortality and the number of people affected by country. The document also highlights the importance of improving data collection and the understanding of earthquake-related morbidity, such as the impact of earthquake events on mental health, cardiovascular diseases and other chronic illnesses.
In the period studied, earthquakes also occurred in border countries, such as Turkey and Russia, that for geographical reasons were excluded from analysis.
