Current and future climate of the Marshall Islands
This publication updates the original Current and future climate of the Marshall Islands brochure published in 2011. The information in this publication, and research conducted by PACCSAP, builds on the findings of the 2013 IPCC Fifth Assessment Report, and uses new emissions scenarios and climate models. This brochure contains a summary of climate projections for the Marshall Islands.
This brochure offers insights into the climate-related hazards facing the Marshall Islands. Projected changes to the country's climate include increasing temperatures, rising sea levels, ocean acidification, less frequent rainfall, more very hot days, changes in wave climate, and stronger but less frequent tropical cyclones.
