Current and future climate of Nauru

This publication updates the original Current and future climate of Nauru brochure published in 2011. The information in this publication, and research conducted by PACCSAP, builds on the findings of the 2013 IPCC Fifth Assessment Report, and uses new emissions scenarios and climate models. This brochure contains a summary of climate projections for Nauru.

This brochure offers insights into the climate-related hazards facing Nauru. Projected changes to Nauru's climate include increasing temperatures, rising sea levels, ocean acidification, less frequent rainfall, more very hot days, changes in wave climate, and stronger but less frequent tropical cyclones.
