Desk review of Early Warning Systems (EWS) in the Caribbean
This document is part of the activities implemented through the project “Strengthen integrated and cohesive preparedness capacity at a regional, national and community level in the Caribbean” project. This project supported concrete actions for an effective early warning system (EWS) and aimed to improve information management (IM) and operational capacity in an effort to strengthen the disaster preparedness mechanism for Caribbean regional response. The project was led by United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in collaboration and coordination with the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and the International Federation of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
