Disaster risk resilience and preparedness through earthquake resistant building techniques and support of local communities in Sulawesi, Indonesia
This report presents the outcomes of a disaster risk reduction project in Indonesia, focused on disseminating earthquake-resilient building techniques in the most affected villages in Sulawesi.
At the end of the project period, six health care community centres and one school were built following earthquake-resilience standards. The buildings serve as model houses for the community who actively participated in training on resilient techniques and construction work.
