Enhancing climate resilience and food and nutrition security
This document outlines the the policies of Action Contre la Faim (ACF) International regarding the strengthening of communities against the affects of climate change, particularly in relation to nutrition and food security.
The document is divided into three sections: (i) section one addresses the affects of climate change on hunger and undernutrition; (ii) section two discusses the actions taken by ACF to mitigate the effects of climate change on human health, including strengthening early warning systems, enhancing preparedness against climate-related shocks, and creating community resilience through management of climate risks; (iii) and section three outlines the core principles in ACF response, including community engagement, the strengthening of local institutions, and the creation of long-term resilience plans.
