Facilitator guidebook on community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR)
This guidebook aims to facilitate the comprehension and practice of the Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR) process. It contains four working modules with an introductory part, which: (i) describe the rational, terminologies, roles and responsibilities of the facilitators; (ii) provide the concept and facilitation process about different terminologies on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) using practical examples, and discuss the importance and process of CBDRR; (iii) describe the Community Risk Assessment model, using different case study, group work, and practical example; (iv) focus on the process of participatory risk, resource analysis and evaluation; and (v) discuss and elaborate advocacy process for sustaining the CBDRR process with reference to different disaster management model, institutions, regulative frameworks and organization bodies of Bangladesh.
