First plenary session of the International Coordination Committee for the Safeguarding of Haitian Cultural Heritage: final report
This report presents recommendations under the framework of the Action Plan for National Recovery and Development of Haiti, and details specific recommendations including the implementation of conservation plans, management plans, risk reduction plans and plans for sustainable tourism. Overall, it describes the current situation on Haitian cultural heritage, introduces a strategic coordination framework for safeguarding Haitian cultural heritage, and describes the various stages and activities involved in safeguarding Haitian cultural heritage. It also reports on thematic discussions concerning: (i) world, cultural and natural heritage; (ii) museums, archives and libraries; (iii) intangible heritage; and (iv) cultural industries.
The first session of the International Coordination Committee for the Safeguarding of Haitian Cultural Heritage (CIC) which was held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on 7 and 8 July 2010.
