The impact of Program Keluarga Harapan Implementation to community resilience in East Nusa Tenggara
This working paper analyses the impact of a social intervention program, the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH), on the resilience of communities, particularly those facing slow-onset disasters such as East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Indonesia. The document provides a background on the Indonesian government's prioritization of interventions in NTT that provide social protection. The PKH is a conditional cash transfer (CCT) program with the objective to improve outcomes for communities by promoting the utilization of education and health services.
Since 2007, PKH has been implemented in 7 districts and now covers all regencies and cities in the province of NTT. The study shows that PKH has had an impact on community resilience, particularly in terms of decreasing vulnerability to disasters.
