Improving the application and use of climate information: Three lessons from behavioral psychology
This policy brief summarizes a technical report and literature review by the USAID-funded Adaptation Thought Leadership and Assessments (ATLAS) project, in collaboration with the Climate System Analysis Group (CSAG) at the University of Cape Town. The project applied principles from behavioral psychology to explore decision-making with uncertain climate information and the utility of these principles for influencing decision-makers to use uncertain climate information. The report provides key lessons and recommendations for increasing the uptake and use of climate information in development programming.
