This document provides a comprehensive overview of the status of disaster risk reduction (DRR) in Jamaica, any progress made in reducing risk, definitions of priorities and strategies, major challenges tackled in reducing not only loss of lives, but also the economic, social and environmental impacts associated with risks. It is intended to national and local authorities, agencies and stakeholders and actors linked to DRR, as a national reference document.
