Local learning: Heat health in Hong Kong

This series describes interdisciplinary action being taken to understand and manage the risks of extreme heat in Hong Kong. Hong Kong faces unique challenges from environmental hazards, such as climate change and variability, due to its densely populated and almost entirely urbanized living environment. An increased vulnerability to the urban heat island effect means that its inhabitants are more susceptible to the harmful, and sometimes deadly, health effects of extreme heat.
