Mainstreaming adaptation to climate change in agriculture and natural resources management projects
This package presents eight adaptation notes that provide lessons learned, best practices, recommendations, and useful resources for integrating climate risk management and adaptation to climate change in development projects, with a focus on the agriculture and natural resource management sectors. Each note focuses on specific technical, institutional, economic, or social aspects of adaptation.
The notes are aimed at development practitioners, including professionals of international development banks and organizations, NGOs, and government officials. In particular, they target those working on projects in the agricultural/water management/rural development sectors. The target audience includes professionals who have no prior experience on climate risk management and adaptation to climate change, as well as more experienced practitioners. For non-experts, the notes help to identify minimum climate risk management practices that every project developer should be aware of. For experts, the notes provide updated information and lessons learned from recent projects on key aspects of climate risk management and adaptation to climate change.
