This act may be cited as the Disaster risk Management act, 2023, and shall come into force on such date as the Minister may appoint by notice published in the Gazette.
It is an Act to provide for disaster preparedness, risk reduction, response and recovery; to establish of the National Disaster Risk Management Committee and the National Disaster Risk Management Technical Sub-Committee; to establish of the office of Commissioner for Disaster Risk Management; and to address matters incidental thereto, enacted by the Parliament of Malaŵi.
