A manual on floods and storms preparedness and mitigation for communities
This manual is the result of CARE International's work since 2003 in Binh Dinh province, Vietnam, coordinating with local authorities, organizations and people in the community to assess vulnerability and develop preparedness strategies to cope with natural disaster such as flash-flooding. The objective of this manual is to provide basis information on how to prepare for, and respond to, disasters at the community and household levels. It is intended to help families, aid workers and policy-makers in disaster-prone areas to better understand the impact of floods and storms as well as helping them implement appropriate measures to better preparedness and coping these disasters.
