Migration, environment and climate change: assessing the evidence
This book aims to provide concrete ways in which the international community can begin to address the gaps in knowledge relating to the likely impact of climate change on migration. It stresses that it is important not to view migration as simply the failure of communities to adapt to climate change it has always been one of the ways in which people have chosen to adapt to changing environments.
It focuses on seven key areas of research relating to the topic of migration, the environment and climate change, covering issues such as data challenges, research methods, sudden environmental and slow onset events, and policy responses.
