National emergency risk assessment guidelines
Australian Disaster Resilience Handbook Collection: Handbook 10
In 2011, Handbooks were introduced to better align the Series with the National Strategy for Disaster Resilience. Compiled by practitioners with management and service-delivery experience in a range of disaster events, the handbooks comprised principles, strategies and actions to help the management and delivery of support services in a disaster context.
The handbooks may be used by a wider range of stakeholders, including:
- those responsible for developing emergency-related risk management policy
- those accountable for ensuring risk is effectively managed in a community or organisation
- educators and students in emergency-related risk management
- specialist risk practitioners who apply the NERAG method
- those who evaluate the effectiveness of emergency-related risk management practices.
