NDF climate change strategy 2012-2013

This document outlines the strategic frames for NDF’s activities during the next two years: (i) to facilitate greater investments in developing countries to address the causes and consequences of climate change; (ii) to support development and climate change strategies in developing countries; (iii) to maximise additionality and complementarity in relation to other available financing; and (iv) to mirror the Nordic countries' priorities in the area of climate change and development.

The strategy describes: (i) the eligible countries and areas of support, including flood and drainage, reduction of climate vulnerability related to infrastructure through capacity-building and investments management, and investments in research, early warning systems, preparedness plans and disaster preparedness; (ii) the modes of operation; (iii) the Nordic countries' interest and procurement; and (iv) the main outputs and activities during 2012-2013.
