Niger: National Report in preparation for WCDR (2005)
Le Niger, à l'instar des autres pays africains, est confronté périodiquement à d'innombrables catastrophes naturelles ou provoquées, notamment la désertification, l’ensablement du lit des cours d’eau, les Erosions (Hydrique et Eolienne, les invasions des prédateurs des végétaux et les épidémies (méningites, rougeole, choléra, etc..). Le Niger, à l'instar des pays membres de la région Africaine s'est résolument engagé à développer et à renforcer ses capacités à prendre en charge les situations d'urgence par la préparation, le renforcement des capacités institutionnelles notamment des systèmes d'alerte précoce, et en prévoyant des ressources appropriées.
