Ninth national earthquake and safety drill in Iranian schools

Collection of photos from the Ninth National Earthquake and Safety Drill, organized by the International Institute of Earthquake and Engineering (IIEES) on November 29, 2007. This drill has been conducted since 1966 and now involves 14.5 million students in more than 124,000 schools. All students in Iran perform the earthquake drill. The Safety Drill program has been developed by Public Education Department of IIEES, with the cooperation of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Interior (National Committee for National Reduction), the Iranian Red Crescent Society, and Iran National Television and Radio.
