Opportunity for sister city application to support resilience city: working paper no. 8

This study explores the concept of sister city in Indonesia using the examples of Jakarta and Bandung and the extent to which this concept can help a city becoming resilient. It is divided into several sections: (i) introducing climate change issues and sister city concepts in urban cities and how they could be an alternative adaptation and mitigation measure; (ii) describing the methodology and data sources used; (iii) discussing the findings with reference to the theoretical background and case studies; (iv) suggesting some conclusions and policy implications for sister city in developing countries in order to be a resistant and resilient city in facing climate change risks.
