Preparing New Hampshire for projected storm surge, sea-level rise, and extreme precipitation
This report summarizes vulnerabilities to projected coastal flood hazards and how they could impact different sectors of New Hampshire's coastal region in the United States. It identifies valuable assets at risk of different coastal hazards, evaluates the exposure and sensitivity of those assets to coastal hazards, and assesses existing capacity for managing and reducing vulnerabilities. Some key findings presented in this report, are focused on vulnerabilities specific to local economy, built landscape, natural resources, and heritage. Further, it includes a set of recommendations for state legislators, state agencies, and coastal municipalities to help them better prepare and minimize coastal risks and hazards.
