Progress report on the implementation of the Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction in World Heritage Properties
This document summarises the progress made in the implementation of the Strategy for Reducing Risks from Disasters at World Heritage Properties, structured according to the five objectives of the Hyogo Framework for Action, the key policy document on disaster risk reduction (DRR) at the UN level. It also contains information on other related activities carried out by the World Heritage Centre and Advisory Bodies since July 2007, as well as some lessons learned from Haiti and other disasters.
Annex I contains a series of recommendations developed at a Workshop held in Acre (Israel) in November 2009.
