Public awareness and public education key messages guide: Vanuatu
This DRR guide for public education provides advice on what to do in case of various emergencies due to natural hazards. It aims to support disaster management practitioners and non-specialists to build a culture of safety, develop public awareness campaigns, and contribute to the creation of educational resources.
These key action messages for families can form the foundation for public awareness messaging, information, education and communication materials, and curriculum development for disaster risk reduction. These are developed for Vanuatu, but follow the global guide developed by the IFRC, 'Public awareness and public education for disaster risk reduction: key messages', and are thus applicable for other countries as well.
