In the aftermath of the earthquake, tsunami and subsequent Fukushima nuclear meltdown in northern Japan on 11 March 2011, this white paper focuses on the role of joint private and public sector partnership in emergency preparedness and small business resilience. The paper highlights the need for the public sector to be attuned to the needs of private businesses in order to facilitate recovery, and the resources and expertise that corporations can offer in times of disaster.
