Resilience - Climate information for climate action (action statement)
The initiative “Climate Information to Climate Action” seeks to mobilize new and scaled-up commitments from countries, organizations and partners to strengthen and accelerate generation, dissemination and application of climate information with targeted deliverables over the next 7 years.
Following the guidelines of the Global Framework for Climate Services and inspired by the objectives of the UN Climate Summit 2014, this initiative seeks to scale-up the delivery of actionable climate information to guide decision-making processes and governance for the generation of adaptation, disaster risk reduction and sustainable development plans.
It aims to bring together clear and usable climate information and analytic tools to national and local policy and decision makers to strength their capacity to better anticipate climate-related risks and impacts and to elucidate adaptation measures. It also aims to generate services and capacity building mechanisms targeted at specific planning processes.
