This report is prepared by Earthquakes and Megacities Initiative (EMI) as part of its contractual obligations to the German Federal Foreign Office (FFO) through the German Committee on Disaster Reduction (DKKV) to develop a risk-sensitive land use plan for Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC). The KMC Risk-Sensitive Land Use Plan is prepared under the project titled, 'Mainstreaming disaster risk reduction in megacities: a pilot application in Metro Manila and Kathmandu'.
