Sign of resilience

This book is a pictorial journey of a project with the purpose: (i) to increase the resilience of communities vulnerable to disasters through strengthened livelihoods and increased preparedness; and (ii) for stakeholders at different levels (village, district and national) to adopt a livelihood-centred approach to disaster risk reduction. Its images and captions depict a multitude of approaches including awareness-raising, early warning, local structural safety measures, crop management and alternative income sources.
