Sismo's activity book

This workbook, used in secondary schools, together with a CD-Rom and an internet site, proposes various activities adapted to different ages: 10, 13 and 16 years. The various techniques for the study and measurement of the seismicity are treated along 5 major themes: sensors, tectonics, risk, data and the Earth. This practical work suggested to the teachers and their students, aims to develop seismological networks within the schools to register seismic waves. The data collected will then be entered in an on-line database, thus providing all these schools various educational and scientific activities. (UNEsCO)
