This Statement of Common Understanding was prepared in preparation for the Workshop on National Platforms at the International Disaster and Risk Conference (IDRC) in Davos, Switzerland, in August of 2008. In 2001, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) established the Rapid Emergency Assessment and Coordination Team - a partnership on disaster management in Tajikistan.
