Strengthening human resilience in Northern Clarendon (Mount Airy) and West Kingston
Mount. Airy is a small community, pastoral in nature and is located approximately 42km from the town of May Pen in Clarendon. The main climate hazards that affect the community of Mount Airy are hurricanes, droughts and intense rainfalls.
The Mount Airy Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation Plan represent the operational procedures and strategies to be employed at community level in response to, recovery from and preparing for these hazards and more. The community disaster plan will draw on other existing parish plans and national plans where necessary for the mounting of an efficient response and preparedness programme.
