Synthesis report on the global thematic consultation on addressing inequalities
Global thematic consultation on the post-2015 development agenda:
This report synthesizes the result of a consultation aimed at providing an open and inclusive process that would include a diverse range of voices and perspectives. It provides a framework of necessary actions in four domains: economic, social, environmental and political, and recommends to tackle climate change resilience and participation in adaptive social protection and disaster risk reduction as part of the actions to take in the environmental domain.
The consultation was informed by a total of 175 written submissions covering a wide range of issues related to inequalities and providing much valuable evidence and analysis. The global thematic consultation on the post-2015 development agenda was held under the auspices of the United Nations Development Group in the period from September 2012 to January 2013.
This report is based on and reflects an extensive global public consultation, held from Sept 2012 - Jan 2013. Its content and recommendations do not necessarily reflect the views and positions of UNICEF, UN Women, the United Nations or the Governments of Denmark or Ghana.
