Three case stories from the community-based disaster risk reduction project (CBDRR)
This paper reports on a community-based disaster risk reduction (CBDRR) project implemented in cyclone-vulnerable communities of the coastal belt of Bangladesh. It describe some of the processes followed under the CBDRR project that have led to positive outcomes, including: (i) mainstreaming disaster risk reduction (DRR) in non formal education; (ii) community mobilization and action planning for enhanced preparedness; and (iii) addressing the needs of people with disability.
