Towards climate resilient environmental and natural resources management in the Lake Victoria Basin
This report is a synthesis of the key findings and results of the four technical reports, with a focus on the assessment of Climate Resilience (CR) contributed by Environmental and Natural Resources Management (ENRM) measures. ENRM measures that would strengthen climate resilience were identified and grouped in distinct areas.
While this study has highlighted what measures should be undertaken to enhance climate resilience, it remains an open question as to how the institutions can be incentivized to undertake action. This is important but beyond the scope of this study. A deeper institutional and political analysis could pave the way to unlocking action on climate change in the Lake Victoria Basin.
