This report presents the institutional and legal framework for disaster risk reduction in Trinidad and Tobago, and describes its common disaster risks and natural hazards, such as flood, earthquake, storm and tsunami. It outlines the strategies, plans, projects and activities related to disaster prevention and risk management.
The report provides an evaluation of country’s progress, achievements and challenges in disaster risk reduction during the first half of the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR), and highlights suggested activities and plans for the rest of IDNDR.
