Tsunami ready toolbox

This toolkit is geared to assist hotels to prepare for tsunamis and consists of a collection of fact sheets and background information papers on subjects like information sources, department close down procedures, beach evacuation, planning of evacuation routes, location of evacuation spots, best practice examples, natural warning signs etc.

The signs are already used by Bali Hotels Association (BHA) member hotels and this kits aims at encouraging other Indonesian hotels to use the same design for their internal evacuation routes.

The toolkit has been developped to improve the tsunami preparedness of the countries hotel industry by the Indonesian Ministry of Culture and Tourism (BUDPAR) in cooperation with the Bali Hotels Association (BHA). The initiative is supported by the German Centrum für Migration und Entwicklung (CIM).
