Vulnerable countries and people: how disaster risk reduction and insurance can help manage the risks of climate change
This policy brief shares interviews with people around the world affected by weather-related natural hazards. It shows their needs in terms of disaster risk reduction, and how insurance might help reduce the damage extreme events cause in their lives. It is intended to help delegates understand more clearly the links between the Munich Climate Insurance Initiative´s (MCII) proposal for climate risk insurance and “real people” who face these risks.
