How well prepared is the UK for climate change?
This report provides the first national assessment of how well prepared the United Kingdom (UK) is to cope with the impacts of climate change, through adopting measures to adapt to climate change.
It identifies five priority areas for immediate action to prepare for climate change: (i) land use planning, including flood resilient buildings and infrastructures and ways to cope with rising temperatures and heat-waves; (ii) national infrastructure, including ensuring resilience to potential increases in certain extreme weather events, such as storms, floods and droughts; (iii) natural resources; (iv) design and renovation of buildings; and (v) emergency planning.
