Fema: The national preparedness report

The annual report assesses the state of preparedness of the United States. It focuses on five mission areas: (i) Prevention, (ii) Protection, (iii) Mitigation, (iv) Response, and (v) Recovery. It identifies areas where the U.S. have made significant progress, acknowledges remaining opportunities for improvement, and reinforces the important principles of national preparedness. It focuses on threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to U.S. security and resilience. Risks include acts of terrorism, cyber attacks, pandemics, and catastrophic 'natural' disasters.
