Flood risk management and urban resilience workshop report

This workshop report provides summaries of presentations held to increase technical knowledge, share good practice from around the Asian region, and foster a community of committed leaders dealing with flood risk. The workshop was considered a step towards implementing the recommendations presented in a World Bank report called, "Cities and flooding: a guide to integrated urban flood-risk management for the 21st century". Presentations summarized in this workshop report: (i) understanding flood hazard and its impact; (ii) the components of integrated flood risk management; (iii) the international development partner view; (iv) flood preparedness mapping; and (v) implementing integrated urban flood risk management.
