Climate change and its impact on population health in Southern China: Implication for adaptation policy
This briefing presents research findings from the Adapting to Climate Change in China Project (ACCC) and provides recommendations about: extreme temperatures and mortality, meteorological factors and infectious diseases, assessing vulnerability for public health and especially for heat wave.
It is intended to provide decision-makers with the policy–relevant information they require for evidence-based adaptation planning, taking into account current and future climate change and variability. It aims to share China's experience and lessons learnt with other developing countries in order to reduce their vulnerability to the impacts of climate.
