Inundaciones en zonas urbanas de cuencas en América Latina
This publication analyzes floods in Latin-American cities and the strategies to cope with them. It adopts a constructionist perspective and therefore allows to approach risk flood as the result of the interaction between society and climatic and weather-related events. The study presents the state of the art on the knowledge and practice regarding floods in Latin-American cities and three case studies seen as good examples in flood risk management: Bogotá, Colombia; Blumenau, Brasil and Durazno, Uruguay.
