IFRC framework for community resilience

This publication gives a clear overview of IFRC's approach to community resilience. It explains IFRC's objective to establish a foundation on which all IFRC programmes, projects, interventions and actions are based. The publication explains that this objective can be reached by supporting national societies’ efforts to assist communities as they adopt risk informed, holistic approaches to address their underlying vulnerabilities, supporting national societies’ efforts that encourage communities to adopt demand-driven, people-centred approaches to community resilience strengthening, and supporting national societies to be connected to communities. Furthermore, the publication presents IFRC's definition of resilience and offers tools and guidance to support community resilience.
