Managing drought, sustaining growth in Djibouti

This brochure is part of a series highlighting the World Bank's achievements in disaster risk management (DRM) initiatives. It provides several lessons learned in the field of DRM and reports on a vulnerability and risk assessment communication platform established in Djibouti with funding and guidance from the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery. This platform is the first of its kind in Africa and is comprised of hydrological early warning systems, as well as a hazard and vulnerability assessment of seismic and flooding events.
