Lao PDR: Community-based disaster risk reduction manual

This manual captures lessons learned and good practices suggested by key disaster management stakeholders in Lao PDR  covering a range of relevant Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR) topics. Different approaches for CBDRR have been utilized by various organizations in the country over the past decades. However, it has become clear that there is no common methodology to guide countrywide implementation and systematic replication of CBDRR activities.

Crucially, the guidelines represent a set of commonly agreed principles for community based activities in Lao PDR which have been reviewed and validated by key representatives from relevant disaster organizations working in the country.
